Backend/distributed systems engineer with 5+ years of production Elixir on the BEAM. Most recently built CAKE, an AI-powered document search and Q&A tool (Phoenix/LiveView, RAG pipeline, vector search) — demoed to a customer who identified it as solving a daily pain point.
Prior work includes security operations backends, compensation/time-tracking systems, and full-stack delivery from design mocks to deployment. Also write Clojure (open-source web scraping tooling) and have an AWS Cloud Practitioner cert.
Looking for full-time or contract work, remote or on-site. Especially interested in teams that take the BEAM seriously rather than just using the PETAL stack to make webapps.
