The dark secrets of Whopper Sacrifice (2009) (cnet.com)

I remember as I was beginning to have my doubts about Facebook (cerca 2006) I realized that I didn't really want all the random thoughts of this extended group of people I barely knew started trimming down my friends list to just my actual friends. In the process, I removed a friend of a friend whom I had barely spoken to, and... they noticed.

What resulted was a heartfelt apology to me from him, for anything he might have done to offend me. I responded explaining the situation, but the entire interaction was extremely awkward.

That's why I mute everyone instead (and then never go on Facebook because there's nothing there because everyone is muted). I find it the vastly superior way of using Facebook.

Dont you just find its a form of spying? Its bad enough having family doing it, but friends as well?

I really dont think people understand privacy, scientists certainly dont thats why they do what they do.

Bring it back. I'd totally swap 10 Facebook friends for a low-grade burger.

Hell, I got rid of all of them, and the only thing I got in return was freedom from a world-spanning surveillance network.

Small print: I am, of course, still thoroughly tracked and instrumented by Facebook, even with my account officially deleted. I'm thinking at some point I may try an experiment and re-create my account, see if they actually held on to my stuff after all.

As far as fast food burgers it’s my favorite. Is it a crappy burger. Sure. Is it something I eat 2x a year when I’m in a pinch and it’s edible. Sure.

It's great, although the quality varies a lot by country/area, unlike McDonald's. It's my benchmark burger. When any burger at a sit-down restaurant is better than a whopper, I'm satisfied.

It'd be so much better if they swapped the mayo for mustard though :(

Absolutely. My friends would only be pissed I got to do it before they could!

Agreed
