Or the opposite. There are more and more hardware that support Android but not Linux. That's why Termux and other solutions to run Linux on Android are so popular.

I assure you that there is much more hardware supported by the Linux kernel, than what has been added by Android. Termux doesn't run the majority of the Internet, and very few developers use Termux-based distributions for development.
